That’s the number one question we get asked by our customers. Environmental beneficial technology, exceptional performance, right price… but we’ve never heard of you!
We could go back to the late 1980’s where some of our founders first started working on environmental solutions across a variety of industries… but we won’t.
The reality is that the technology needed for effective cleaning in the industrial sector simply wasn’t there 30 years ago… or even 10 years ago. ‘Eco’ companies used traditional technologies with a sprinkle of bacteria or enzyme leaving environmental cleaning products with a reputation for poor performance and high cost.
So we started offering solutions to markets more open to biotech – water and waste treatment, horticulture, landscaping, agriculture and marine, among others building a successful business.
This all changed in 2014 when the Managing Director’s 9 year old son came home shocked following their lessons on climate change and the damage humans were causing. We offered environmental solutions that worked, however the volume of petrochemical based technology was being used in the cleaning industry with no-one able to provide environmental alternatives that actually did what they said on the tin. Add to that the increasing levels of plastic pollution, growing number of studies on the damage of traditional chemicals to human health and the environment with the 2030 deadline to reduce the global CO2e footprint.
The principle was simple – our technology could stop smells in landfill sites, remove scale from the pipework of ships, remove algae and mould from reservoirs and warehouses full of organic matter in less than 24 hours. The challenge was how to bring that type of technology into the cleaning industry who have very specific challenges and constraints.
It took 5 years, but we stuck to our core principles and now have a range of products that outperform traditional technology, decrease operating costs and significantly reduce both carbon footprint and toxicity. We hope we did this in time – we can’t stop climate change but we can stop it getting worse but only if we all start that process now.
